Join the Trust

For the last half century, our village church has been managed and maintained as a community space by The Coombe Keynes Trust. This has been financed through membership subscriptions, donations and fundraising events.

In 2022 the Trust transitioned to become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). This change requires all previous members to sign a new membership form (see download link below). This enables us to identify individuals, as each member has the right to vote and also for us to recover Gift Aid on donations made.

Membership is now for individuals (adults over 18) rather than households, and will be £15 per person. Subs will be collected at the same time each year.

Members will benefit from:

•  As a “First Year Special Offer” – one free hire of the church for private, non-commercial use. (Please note electricity used will be chargeable).
• Reduced rates to hire the church, (for non-commercial use).
• Reduced event ticket prices.
• Being an active member of the village community.
• Supporting the church’s preservation & use as a community space.
• Ability to vote at General Meetings on the running of the Trust.

Subscriptions alone do not cover the basic annual running costs: insurance, electricity, internet and, in the future, water. With all costs set to rise this year, any further donation you would like to add alongside your membership fee, would be gratefully received.

Further improvements and ongoing maintenance will be financed by fund raising events and possibly grants.
