A Fantastic Transformation at Holy Rood Church, Coombe Keynes

Coombe Keynes Trust is delighted to announce the completion of a major improvement to Holy Rood Church: a new insulated hardwood floor throughout the main church space.

The project has replaced the previous plywood flooring with a beautiful new timber floor, while also introducing insulation beneath it. The result is a warmer, more comfortable and more attractive space that will help us make better use of this much-loved historic building for years to come.

Most importantly, the new floor is already being enjoyed. Holy Rood continues to host a growing range of village and community events, and the improved space will make the church an even more welcoming and practical place for people to gather, celebrate and spend time together.

Caring for Holy Rood’s future

Holy Rood has stood at the heart of Coombe Keynes for generations. Today, alongside its historic and religious importance, it provides a unique place for village gatherings, music, celebrations and community events.

Projects such as this are therefore about more than maintaining the fabric of the building. They help ensure that Holy Rood remains a place that can continue to be used, enjoyed and cared for by the community for many years to come.
