DESCRIPTION:This year we’re celebrating the mighty onion! \n\n\n\nThanks to Rod Miller (and his consignment of specially imported Roscoff onions)\, the evening will feature:🧅 An onion-themed quiz🧅 A hearty bowl of French onion soup with Gruyère croutons🍷 A glass of Beaujolais to keep things lively \n\n\n\nTo finish\, we’d love to offer a spread of desserts. If you are able to contribute a pudding – ideally with a French flavour – please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly. \n\n\n\nNB We’ll be providing a glass of wine to go with the meal\, but you’re invited to BYO drinks to supplement the rest of the evening.  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nPS This event was originally planned for Sept 27th but was postponed due to illness. SUMMARY:Purbeck Film Festival - Halloween Screening
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our fourth Purbeck Film Festival screening!We’ve done history\, comedy\, queer romance\, and indie Korean drama – but this year (on Halloween\, no less!) we couldn’t resist something spooky. \n\n\n\nWe’ll be showing The Borderlands (2014)\, a found-footage supernatural horror that’s fast becoming a cult classic. Set in a remote Devon church that looks uncannily like our own Holy Rood\, it’s rated 15 – but don’t worry\, it’s not gory. This is all about atmosphere\, tension\, and proper old-fashioned jump scares. \n\n\n\nTo keep you warm before the chills begin\, we’ll be serving Shepherd’s Pie.
