The Coombe Keynes Trust organises regular work parties for the maintenance of the church building and grounds. Volunteers are always welcome!
We will post the dates of any upcoming work parties on the website and on the village Facebook page.
These are examples of our regular jobs:
- Rake-out old and re-putty windows externally (putty to be provided)
- Pull grass from stones between buttresses on South side
- Remove ivy from walls (carefully, to avoid pulling out pointing).
- Hiring scythe to deal with long grass in sections of c/yard
- Pull ivy from grave stones
- Cleaning windows inside and out

- Putty knife
- Gloves
- Trowel / fork (for weeding)
- Secateurs
- Window cleaning materials (bucket, soapy water, cloth)
- Dusters
- Wire brush
